FYI, Activision just relaunched sierra as an indie Dev publisher.
Additionally, I think you are not alone in the IP limbo. From what I pieced
together on the internet, there was some major chaos at the end. Sierra
went through a myriad of owners, from the Davidson group to the French
global conglomerate at its end. At one point one owner shut down Dynamix
even though they were making some of the most successful games in the
company ( Tribes, et al). Honestly, Ray it might be worth figuring it out
who owns what rights from a legal standpoint, only because you wouldn't
want someone to claim they have license to make their own games with your
story, e.g. reissue with updated graphics and sound.
