[Sorry for the generic format but I figure it's the best way to update everyone and make sure you all have my new phone number.] First of all, we have a new home - a small two-bedroom house in a quiet area, easy-to-clean teak floors through most of the house and a really cool bathroom with slate floors and a slate shower. The owners are genuinely rescue-friendly. The real litmus test was when I asked about relocating the remaining two ferals (Cutie-Pie and Pumpkin) from the backyard of my old burned-out place to our new back yard and was told, without hesitation, "yes, of course, bring them." So, we are home. New phone number (should be on this afternoon) is 707-554-2371. DSL service should be transferred in 7 to 10 days. Almost functional again! Of the two remaining ferals - Trapped Cutie-Pie last night (and did she ever look pi**ed when I showed up this morning). She's now cooling her heels in a condo cage in my new backyard. Re-setting traps again tonight at the old house in hopes of getting Pumpkin. Lil Mister and Tuffy, two of the cats who ran out during the fire, remain missing. We've been looking for them night and day, cruising alleys, posting flyers, etc. Still no sign of them. I want to say again THANK YOU! The support we received after the fire was amazing and it really kept us going. I can't imagine having gotten through this without friends supporting us and keeping us sane.
