I'm so sorry for your loss. Yes, he is in heaven but he's also in that little corner of your heart reserved just for him...and he'll help you mend that heart with all those happy memories

Fortunately, he was purring and happy and we got to hold him as he went. I know he is in a better place even though this is the worst broken heart I have ever had.
