When I lived with my parents, my FeLV+ cat lived in my bedroom away from my parents healthy cats. (My cat tested positive at 5 weeks old and I was not going to put him down. P.S. He's almost 2 years old and still healthy!)
They played under the door, my cat escaped a few times, but the Leukemia never spread between cats. Contact was limited.
