Are you sure it's the same stuff for cats and dogs? I have never heard of splitting it - could be bad! Have you compared the ingredients and their amounts?
My vet refuses to do revolution - he says it's dangerous because there have been many incidents of cats convulsing - too many things in it all at one time! I've also heard very good things about diatomaceous earth. I'm actually about to use it on my yard because of the chiggers and mosquitos.
