There's some group somewhere doing research on the rabies vaccination and they have found that kittens vaccinated still had immunity in their system four years later. That's with the normal one year vaccine. They suspect there's immunity up to seven years later.
I told my vet one time that if they require an animal to be vaccinated to be seen so then they vaccinate them during surgery or the day of the appointment it was stupid because it takes time for the body to develop an immunity after the vaccination so the vaccination done that day was useless.
