I don't use Science Diet myself, but we use SD at the shelter. We tried different "higher quality" more "natural" brands, but the cats were having all sorts of problems, so we switched back to SD. I use Blue Buffalo, for the FeLV & FIV kitties & Avoderm for my baby with skin issues.
