Wow! Endora tested positive for leukemia. I've had positives go suddenly, but they were usually a little older. I figured if she had made it to about 3 months when I got her that she'd be OK til at least 1.5 to 2.
She was a little cutie. All black and since I got her in October I wanted to give her a "halloween"-type name but something unique. And I recalled the TV show Bewitched and named her Endora.

i am so sorry you lost her so young. and yes when I used to foster kitttens for a rescue shelter I lost two felv negatives very suddenly each who had no signs of any illness. I am glad Endora got to share a loving life with you for awhile. and I just know my Jelly Roll is bounding up to her because he loved being a big brother. What a great name-Endora! Thank you for rescuing her.Barbara and angel Jelly Roll and his sister, Princess Seven Layer eatsalot who now hangs out with me alot since he's gone....----- Original Message -----From: RachelTo: FELV TALK ListSent: Thursday, December 02, 2004 9:46 PMSubject: sudden kitten death - addition to CLSPlease add Endora to the CLS. She is one of two kittens I took in back in October. She was about 4 months old.Last night she was fine and playful, I didn't see her this morning, just put her food out and headed to work. I came home tonight and found her dead on the floor.Has this happened to anyone? She had an upper respiratory and finished her medicine by the end of the first week of November (almost a month ago) and was fine. Otherwise she hadn't had a problem.I've never taken in kittens this young before, but I figured if they made it past 2 months, the next "hurdle" would be 1.5 to 2 years old. I never thought I could lose them so fast.Rachel
