I have learned so much from her articles, it's amazing. She introduced
me to the technical side of our craft so that I could look at my yarns
more objectively, and see where they were good and where I could improve
them.
My favorite feature has always been the gallery. Although I would
personally like to have more attention given to excellence in
craftsmanship and design. It's painful, now that I (thanks to an RB
article!) know how to see overtwist in knitting yarns, to see that
defect in many projects showcased in the magazine. And I still feel the
cover sweater was not a good example of design, though the yarns were
excellently spun.
Hmm, it would be interesting to have that sweater worn for a couple
years (any volunteers? <g>) and come back to be featured again, to see
how it has held up in use.
