Oh how true this is. I had never learned to use a handspindle until this
winter when I was determined to learn so I could take some spinning to
Guatemala with me on a medical mission. A good way to take up slack time but
also to meet and talk with Mayan women about a common thing: spinning and
weaving. Now I love handspindles and slowly (quickly) am acquiring a few.
That's why we save all our old issues, one never news when an old issue will
inspire new ideas.
