Hi all, I have a bit of a strange question, but I bet that it's one
that many of us will be dealing with in the months and years to
come... I want to be clear that I am not complaining about the
security increase at all, I just need some help with creative problem
solving and I have seen that many people on this list excel at this
skill...

With the current crack down on security at airports, I expect to no
longer be able to carry my pair of tiny scissors on a plane to cut
yarn. My preferred type of project for flying is needlepoint, for a
variety of reasons, so I have to cut many yarn ends during the amount
of time it takes to fly across country... When I've tried to just
allow the ends to hang (lost scissors on a trip to S. America), I
ended up with a tangled mess...

I have been told that the crack down will be extreme, so I am trying
to think creatively. I have been told that nail files are
prohibited, obviously any knives or scissors. I know from past
experience that keys don't work well on needlepoint yarn- it's too
strong. What ideas do people have? Have you heard whether finger
nail clippers would be allowed? I'm even wondering whether
needlepoint needles will be allowed on board?

Thanks for any ideas,

Corie
