I would get a pair of inexpensive scissors that close up for travel. At
check in, show the baggage people what you have and be up front. If they
take them...you'll know. I would think that the biggest problems would come
from trying to "covertly" get something on the plane. I am sure that they
will be understanding as to the size of the scissors and how much damage
they could actually do to a person. the collapsible scissors are only about
2" long, and kind of blunt at the end. damage would be minimal, hence the
safety in travel. Some airlines may allow certain things that other
airlines won't. This will certainly change many things for all of us.
