This is why the info you give to the judge is crucial in the process. The more info the judge has regarding your end product the more likely they will be able to make a fair decision about the whole judging process. When I spoke of spinning a soft fleece into a hardwearing outer garment yarn, I was however, referring to taking that fleece and making a thick, highly twisted yarn from it. Of course, it is "possible" to do this. It might not be the best choice for that fleece, however.
