In connection with this discussion , i would like to tell you all , about
aomething i experienced.
One of my praternal Great Uncles, was the editor of a group of Dutch
handcraft & sewing magazines
Marion [sewing] , Ariadne [handcrafts] and some more over the times .
Marion is still there and when i am in Europe i buy it , i really should
have it for life since it was named after my Birth name , But it changed
hands and it stopped , and it isn`t as Chic yet for Every woman as it was.
Ariadne has lost it completely ,, when ever in Europe i look at it ,,,
instead of wonderful `HoW tos` for every taste, level, size etc... it has
becaome a STYLE mag ,, showing you how to throw some cushions here or
there ,, maybe make some cushions ,,,, pity .. i still have the old mags
and can always find help and inspiration looking at them, My great
happiness is opening handcraft books see a pattern i remember and see it
being credited to Ariadne ,,,,
I don`t know what happened to many Craft How to mags??????
it bugs me
I have 2 wonderful series that Life /Time published ,,,in the 1970 sss a
whole new generation has grown eager for REAL craft REal works ,,
publishers Why don`t yuo answer the Quset ???
