I still subscribe to Spin-Off but don't enjoy it as much as I used to.  I really
don't think it's because I've grown beyond the scope of the magazine.  I think 
there's
been a decision to move away from the longer articles.  And perhaps there just 
isn't
someone around like Rita who will experiment and write up the results.  Very 
sad.

Well, I suspect that if you, Beth, or anyone else, were to keep careful notes while doing some experimenting, you could write up an article that one of the fine fiber magazines would be glad to print.

I agree ans miss the kind of articles that show in-depth research, but perhaps the publications are having difficulty finding someone(s) who are still willing to do this kind of work, and then write it up in readable form. Any takers <g>?
