Here's another spark for this fire. All of these things, wool, petroleum, occur naturally in nature. It is the way the resource is changed by man that makes it artificial. Personally, I prefer the end results of the wool to the end results of the petroleum, but yarn doesn't grow naturally on a sheep or goat, just as the acrylic fibers don't "grow" naturally out of the petroleum. Now felt on the other hand does occur naturally, much to the shepherd's chagrin! :)
