I wash about 125 Jacob fleeces each year. I have a big stainless steel sink
(from a dairy) in the yard. I fill that with water and soak the wool for an
hour to a couple of days depending on when I get back to it.After it drains
I do one wash (with Dawn) and one rinse in my washing machine. That works
for Jacob wool. I like the first cold water soak because it's that much less
dirt that I'm running through my washing machine and after that I only need
to do one soapy wash.
