Hi Nora, When I was new to spinning I spun up some beautiful Targhee wool from one of my girls and knit a sweater. I made the sweater come down over my posterier as I was a little chubby and wanted to cover it up. 15 yrs later and many washings as I loved the sweater, it now comes to my waist.
Needless to say I wash and "shock" all my handspun yarns, wether I've dyed the wool before spinning or not. Since then, I've have very little shrinkage in any of my garments.
