thing I haven't tried yet is changing out to the bigger flyer setup. Any
ideas??
Can you tell us which type of Lendrum? and what you mean by "moving
the drive band" ? From where to where do you move it?
and by "getting the remainder on" ? How full is the bobbin when it
gets hard to treadle?
If you mean the Lendrum upright model, you generally can't get two full
regular bobbins to ply and fit on to 2 bobbins, I find it takes 2 1/2
to 3 bobbins. The only time it seems to get really hard to treadle is
when the bobbin is so full that the yarn is rubbing against the flyer
arms.
I don't move the drive band once I have it set for a flyer whorl,
whether spinning singles or plying. On whatever whorl I'm using, I
raise the flyer assy just snug enough so the drive band doesn't slip.
Too tight and you are adding unnecessary friction that your legs have to
overcome.
