Trying to wrap up the school year (15 school days and counting...). Salvaging some "discovered" raw Romney (purchased in 1994 and forgotten/lost until now) and experimenting with scouring in the crockpot (it works!).
Finishing a knitted layette for a friend's baby shower/BBQ on Saturday. Spinning a half-pound bump of Merino top that was supposed to be set aside as a prize in a spinning competition (I'll buy more). Oh, and quietly advertising Fibernet (I was wearing my T-shirt) at the Maker Faire in San Mateo last Saturday, while demonstrating spinning with my local guild (Spindles & Flyers). It was a loud, disorganized zoo (the fair, not our booth), but we made nearly $100 teaching people to spin on CD spindles and then selling them the spindle and some additional roving.
