I agree with you. I think you and I are both going to find OS-X very 
frustrating.

I run a couple of computers and when I upgrade software with a free 
upgrade off the net, its easiest to do it all on one computer, and 
then drag that application folder across to the others. Sometimes 
there are a few system items to move too, but I can keep track of 
them. However, with OS-X everything is everywhere.

I'm wondering how I am going to back up my OS-X system folder at all. 
You can't drag it anywhere because there are lots on invisibles in it.
