I would be all for setting up the list in this way. I see absolutely no
reason for any posts by non-members being accepted by the list. I do not
remember many posts from non members asking to be subscribed anyway.

So if our list owner has a few minutes to spare, I see no reasons not to set
up the list in this way. The Finale list is the only list I am subscribed
to, that generates quite a large amount of spam.
