But I didn't change the noteheads. The percussion map dialog displays two
noteheads for each instrument: a closed notehead and an open notehead. By
default, most instruments have the quarter note notehead as the closed
notehead and the half note notehead as the open notehead. This means that
the quarter note notehead is used (with the appropriate stem) for all
quarters, eighths, sixteenths, etc. -- which is just fine. But it also
means that the half note notehead is used with a stem for half notes and by
itself for whole notes. This is not fine, as this notehead is smaller and
shaded the other way from the usual whole note notehead.
The problem is that there seems to be no way of specifying separate
noteheads for half notes and whole notes in percussion staves.
