I have recently completed a conversation with Makemusic to the effect that Allow Redraw Interrupt is gone for good on both platforms. Not only is this amazing to me. (It reflects an utter incomprehension of how Finale's users actually have to use the program.) It is also a bitter disappointment, because for large scores the new features simply are not worth the (approximately and not-at-all exaggerated) ten-fold increase in redraw times.
It may mean that I'll switch completely to the Win platform as well, just to be able to keep running Fin03. But thankfully, that decision is at least a year or two away.
