I'm trying to recall a program that might need this feature. The graphics program has an abort feature for any processing action, but I don't see any others that need the. The continuous-update mode of the audio editor has no problems, either, but can be turned off for slower machines. The video editor works just fine updating in real time, and that would be sure to be a hassle. This is a PC, though, and the video handling has been really good since the introduction of Direct draw features some years ago -- which is, in part, why I'm really surprised that Finale's (at least as of 2K3) is still so bad. There is no video software expertise in my kit-bag, though, so perhaps there is something in Finale that can't be done as easily as Sibelius or Graphire.
