Or, to look on the positive side, maybe they have deep-sixed all their old, slow display methods, and come up with something completely rewritten that actually works like a modern application. In over a decade of using Finale, it has been consistently and significantly slower to display a screen of information than any other comparable program. Maybe redraw was needed in 1992, but by mid-decade they should have been done with it. It's now nearly the middle of *this* decade!
