This is a common mistake with ossia measures: you are double-clicking 
on the scratch staff to create the ossia, so it's getting attached to 
this staff, and therefore getting hidden when the scratch staff is 
hidden. You should double-click on a staff that will not be hidden, 
then enter the number of the scratch staff as source staff.

I do have a question the Ossia method: I created the scratch staff 
as recommended, the ossia. But then when I hide the scratch staff 
the ossia gets hidden also. What am I doing wrong?
