I did something like that way back when for a handbells piece. The bells needed chart was actually the first measure, with the layout manipulated so that it appeared in the right place and didn't seem attached to the rest of the piece. I'd probably do that again, or for a range finder. Aside from funky playback, is there any reason I shouldn't?
