I didn't say you shouldn't -- I said there wasn't much point. When we're talking about bugs which undoubtedly exist, and how Coda might respond to them, I don't think it really advances the discussion for someone to say they haven't encountered those bugs.

No, the original topic was posted by Randolph Peters. He was venting frustrations that 2004 was slow, and was unusable in Os 9. And that most of the other bug fixes wouldn't be until 2005. He went on to say that he found it "unreliable and slows out productivity way down".

And on the last couple of point my comments are very valid. This wasn't a Bug only discussion. It was about is Finale unreliable and slow and should we insist on getting the bugs out of 2004 before getting a 2005 out.

On those points I have stated I haven't encountered any of these problems. I find Finale 2004 just fine for doing 20 to 25 staved arrangements. Maybe 300 bars or more. I have consistantly found Finale 2004 a lot easier to use, and speeds up the time of doing things by quite a bit.

On the Win side, I agree that it is usable. (I think some on the Mac side might disagree.) But I'm looking for more than 'usable' when I purchase commercial software. If you bought a new car which was 'usable' -- got you from point A to point B -- wouldn't you still feel frustrated if the wheels were out of alignment, and there was no windshield wiper fluid, and one of the doors didn't close properly?

I think that analogy is flawed. But whatever works for you.......I just wonder about how many other programs you'd complain about as well. I mean, do I need to give you a link to all the bugs in Microsoft Word for OS X? Or some other "commerical" programs?

Finale 2004c is usable. Works well. And I'd gladly pay for the next update providing it has things that I would use.....and I imagine it will.......
