This seems to be a characteristic of tech support everywhwere - I had a  
problem with AOL and phoned tech support - the first one told me that it was a  
known problem and they were dealing with it and suggested that I contact them  
again the following day to check if it had been fixed.  When I did so, the  
second "supporter" denied all knowledge of the problem.
