David, I'm not sure from your description whether this is the same thing, but there is a WinFin bug relating to the Window menu. If you have more than 9 docs open (which you would if you had parts for 3 mvts of a piano quartet), and you want to open a doc that's not in slots 1-9, you go to Window | More Windows. The next time you go to the Window menu, however, the checkmark showing which doc is open is next to doc #9, rather than next to More Windows (as would be proper). If you then click on doc #9, that doc doesn't actually open, because the menu thinks it's *already* open. I don't remember what happens to the title bar during all of this.
