I just tried assigning white but it still shows up as white object! Ack! I can't win! :-( By the way, my understanding of stuff style is that you cannot have different stuff style per layer, or at least that's what I am getting.....? Using the plug-in to hide is the closest thing I got now. I would try assigning blank note/stem next.
