David, Google used to archive this list. The *only* objection that I remember being raised about that was that the email address were not obscured. (And of course, the archives were eventually de-listed from Google for that reason.) I don't remember anyone raising any of these copyright issues when it was Google doing the archiving.

Will the people who want us to de-link from OpenSubscriber come up with an alternative way of searching the list archives? Or will we be forced back into a situation where we have only the unsearchable and therefore completely useless "official" archive.
