Hi Chuck,

Try opening the older files from within Finale 2006 rather than double clicking them to open...also, I would create a backup of your Finale preferences once you have them the way you want them. Then when this happens, you can at least save yourself the trouble of re- creating them each time. Make sure to quit Finale before dragging the backed up preferences into your library>preferences folder.
