Well, one good thing about the MacIntels is that it shouldn't be too hard to set up a dual-boot OS X/WinXP machine. Please, don't give them any ideas...

This is actually my biggest fear with Apple's move to Intel. If indeed it becomes easy to set up a dual boot machine with future Intel Macs, my fear is that this will eventually lead many companies to just say "they can boot Windows anyway, why should we develop for Mac?". Then current Macusers may well buy one generation of IntelMacs, set up dual booting for a slow and painless move to Windows, and when the next time for upgrading the computer comes, a lot of them will just buy a (cheaper) PC instead, after having made a "painless" move to Windows. Yes, I myself might end up doing this, but it certainly isn't what I hope for with the Mac platform. It would be a slow death, and Apple would survive as an online music reseller and iPod (HD Video) manufacturer. Apple will survive, but OS X won't.

And no, I don't think todays Windows users would be tempted to buy IntelMacs. Why should they?
