For that single 8th note, put all the notes on a single stem in layer 1, like a chord. In the other layers, put in an eighth rest and hide it so it doesn't display.
Or you may find that it looks better to leave the notes in separate layers, with stems in different directions. It is not always true that a single stem is best when rhythms are the same.
