Or invest in something like
http://fontlab.com/Font-tools/Fontographer/

Which will covert the font to OS X. I did this on Golden Age and Swing Fonts and they print and display fine now.

Hi Bob,

I used this font for years but it appears that it hasn't been updated for the new OS, esp. mac and I have problems with it now: spaces between words don't print or show on screen. So it has rendered it rather useless for me now. In addition, I have to either use OS9 to print these files or swop fonts. I have tried in vain to contact Don Rice and/or find a solution but he seems to have disappeared and when I inquired on this list some time ago about the same subject that drew a blank also.

I suggest that you if you are set on using a hand written font and will be using it extensively, that you opt for one with proper support for the future.
