Friends...

I send my Finale posts via an email system established by my employer using MS
Outlook Web Access.
For some reason unknown to me, attachments are created when I reply to posts on
this list, consisting of a copy of the message to which I am replying and a
copy of some kind of Finale group signature.

One list member has asked me very politely if I could cease this practice and
another occasionally sends me a few return emails stressing a particular french
obscenity.

I would like to comply with the polite request and would hope that the French
sender will cease his five-lettered attack upon my mailbox.

My problem is basic: I DON'T KNOW HOW TO GET RID OF THESE ATTACHMENTS, or I
certainly would, if for no other reason than to lengthen the life of the one
member's "m" "e" "r" and "d" keys. The "e" problem on this individual's
keyboard is particularly susceptible to early demise, since (s)he uses it twice
as much as the "m" "e" "r" and "d" keys in this context, unless, of course
(s)he uses cut and paste, in which the CTRL and C keys will self-destruct.

My employer offers no help with this, and it appears ONLY on this list, though
I belong to many similar lists where I use exactly the same email
configurations. I also did not see a setting at SHSU that would allow me to
fix this.

PLEASE...I will try any reasonable solution to get rid of the attachments. I
would be much happier if members despised me ONLY for the content of my posts
and NOT just for the silly attachments. ;-)

Doctor, doctor...I REALLY want to change...it's just that fates are conspiring
against me and I can't...it's really not my fault, Doctor...it's out of my
control...

I stand (well, sit) ready for advice.

Jim
