I used the setup wizard to get a page for guitar, no template and didn't add
any staves. There wasn't a grand staff since the guitar setup was for single
staves which I'm wondering is the reason I can't insert (put) a piano
bracket to two staves. Maybe I need to cut and paste the music on this page
to a piano set up with piano brackets, then delete the piano brackets that I
don't wan't. I'll send you the page directly since I don't think I should
send it on the forum.

I'm not sure what he means by "two guitar (single staves)". It would help
to know exactly how you started the file. Did you start "from scratch"?
Did you use the set-up wizard? If you use a template for the score, which
one? Have you added any staves that might be between the two guitar
staves? Have you moved the position of either (or both) of the guitar
staves within the grand staff since you set up the score?
I'm not going to venture a guess on what the problem is, but if you want
to email me a copy of the file, I'll be happy to see if I can find a
solution.
