handles. But when I switch back to page view the word extensions
simply extend out of the page on the same system!

Funny how easy and automatic it is in Sibelius.
It is in Finale, too, but only if you use the Smart word extensions.
Earlier versions are, of course, out of luck.
And Sibelius would extend a word extension over a rest automatically?
That seems to be counterintuitive. I would expect the word extensions
to end automatically when the notes end.
