I also notice that once I have entered a composer's or publisher's name, Excel wants to complete the name the next time I start to type it. I realize that this is not the same as a proper database, but it does help prevent misspelled variants of composers' names (like Tchaikovski, or Tchaikovsky, or Chaikovski, or Tchaikowski, etc...!)
in FM you can build value lists that can be assigned to specific fields; they will pop up, you type one or two of the first letters and the cursor jumps to the relevant entry, helps assure consistent entries and you can set up the field to warn you when something not in the list is entered.
very useful in reducing the amount of time spent on data entry. for eg. city list, country, you can also set a composer list from a related table which when selected will create a new record.
