When I try to resize the tool pallete into a long, thin, one-column strip, most 
of the icons disappear, turning into a blank pallete window for its most part, 
only a few toll icons showing at the top; the resizing box no longer works, the 
pallete freezes; then I get the raimbow spinning ball for a few moments and 
Finale quits unexpectedly.
