Didn't help. Michael, none of these steps worked. This last command
certainly did something, it lasted several seconds until the terminal
confirmed, but the Finale plugins are still folders, and Finale still
doesn't have a menu for them. This is exactly what happened to others on
the forum, so perhaps the forum was more reliable in this respect than
expected.
I am now going to reinstall Finale once again, and then, if that doesn't
work will change the bundle bits by hand using Pathfinder.
