Hi all, I need some technical help to track down what might be causing a profoundly annoying problem.
I am using the latest Finale version, JABB Steinway Jazz Piano sample through the Aria Player, and Mac OS 10.10.4 When I play piano sounds with my MIDI Keyboard (M-Audio Keystation), the volume will suddenly drop to near zero. Moving the slider on the MIDI Keyboard will usually restore the volume momentarily, but it will quickly disappear again. Besides this, the piano sounds also randomly transpose. This happens occasionally while a playback is in progress. Also, the piano sound on playback can disappear for a couple of measures, only to return to normal a few seconds later. Moving the pitch wheel on the keyboard can restore the correct pitch. This has been plaguing me for some months, and I thought maybe it might be the keyboard, though with a little thought, that seemed unlikely to be the culprit. Anyway, I just replaced it (fortunately, I can return the new one), and that did nothing. I am usually not too bad at intuiting where problems lie in my system, but this has me stymied. Could it be corrupt Finale preferences? Ideas will be appreciated.
