Hi Chuck, The first thing I would look at is text or articulations set to play back, probably with a MIDI controller mapped to volume. The pitch transposition sounds like the same thing. In an earlier version of Finale, glisses sometimes would not reset (nor scoops or falls) so after playback with one of those the next passage would be transposed.
