Hi folks. Running 2010 on a MacBook Pro. Have had trouble with what I call land mines, that is, what playback plays something different from what I wrote, as if there were invisible markings messing things up.
Sometimes it's dynamics, an oboe marked PP that blasts out of a texture when I know it shouldn't. Even worse is tempo, when a measure with no tempo change marked plays back inexplicably faster than the measure before. I've even put in ridiculously slow tempo markings in measures like this and the playback just ignores them. Any thoughts or advice much appreciated.
