Get the source from somewhere else eg.
http://ftp.debian.org/debian/pool/main/s/slang/slang_1.4.4.orig.tar.gz
then move it to
/sw/src/slang-1.4.4.tar.gz

I am sure that the maintainer will fix this as soon as he has 
some free time :)
