Dear Mr. Horn,
I am so glad that you answered my question. I thought about e-mailing
you as you are the maintainer of libxml2. However, I really do not want to
drag you away from doing other stuff (like maintaining Fink).
Anyway, I did not even thought of the issue with -bin and -shlib. I will
try to install all of them (provided that I can find the .info files;
probably at the same place where I found the .info file for libxml2).
To answer your question, and I certainly would like your help/input. The
reason that I want to downgrade was because I was trying to setup Gnome2 on
my machine. I got the .info files from Mr. Sekino. Several packages did not
install and all of these call for scrollkeeper in the postinst section of
their .info file. Mr. Sekino told me that scrollkeeper does not work with
the new version of libxml (2.4.25). The following is his e-mail:

Any suggestions? I would certainly appreciate any help to get gnome2
installed. Thanks!!
