Thanks for all the help so far, but I am still having problems. I got .info
and .patch files for rev 5 from Mr. Alexander Hansen. Replaced them with
those of rev 1 and issued 'fink install libxml2-2.4.23-5'. I still got the
same error. Here is the log:

    Should I first install the -shlib package first? Should I have issued
any update coomand when I put the .info/.patch file into the
/se/fink/10.2/local/main/finkinfo directory?
