Does system-xfree86 need to know which X11 is installed?

I ask because I'm preparing a setup in which I have *both* Apple's X11
and the XonX Xfree86 installed, with a little shell script to swap
between them. Will fink care, or will I have to re-install
system-xfree86 every time I make the swap and need to use a fink X11
application?

If fink DOES care, any advice on the best/most efficient way to get
system-xfree86 reinstalled each time? (I usually just run fink install
system-xfree86.)

Thanks,
David Craig
